Children will be taught the five fundamental British values and will be taught to understand the significance of these in their everyday lives.

Provide pupils with a broad general knowledge public institutions and services and promote respect for these.
Teach pupils how they can influence decision-making through the democratic process.
Within the curriculum we provide information about the advantages and disadvantages of democracy and how it works in Britain.
Encourage pupils to become involved in decision-making processes and ensure they are listened to in school by helping them to express their views.
Provide opportunities for learning where pupils are able to argue and defend their points of view .
